 Headteacher, Karen Cornick, commented:

We are really proud of our year 11 students’ achievements.  They have all worked hard throughout the two very disrupted years of their GCSE courses and every one of these superb grades reflects that commitment.  Students have shown tremendous resilience in their studies and today it is wonderful to be able to celebrate their academic achievements.  I would also like to thank staff who have shown professionalism and integrity in this year’s examination process, and to thank parents and carers whose support and encouragement has been so important in enabling our young people to achieve so highly.  Well done, Patchway Year 11 students!

We are thrilled to share this year’s successes which include 48% of all grades at A*-B level and an overall pass rate of 100%.  Congratulations, Patchway year 13 students!

  • These are fantastic outcomes for our students, who have been ambitious and determined, despite two years of disrupted learning and a very different sixth form experience to that which they embarked upon, pre-pandemic.  It is hard to put into words just how resilient our sixth form students have been, how committed, and how brilliantly they have coped with the challenges of remote learning, as well as dealing with personal and family Covid-related issues in many cases.  Their high grades are well-earned, and will set them on the path to university and level 3 or 4 apprenticeships.

Ms Chorzelewski, Head of Sixth Form, is delighted by our students’ success: “I would like to congratulate all our students on their achievements and recognise our staff for their continued hard work and commitment.  These outcomes reflect tremendous grit and determination on the part of our students, as well as validating their strong academic growth and excellent success!”

Headteacher, Karen Cornick, praised the hard work and commitment of students and staff:

Congratulations to every one of our sixth form students in completing their courses after, hopefully, the two most difficult academic years they will ever experience!  These results are a very accurate reflection of the academic strengths of our sixth form students and they are a direct result and reward of their continuous efforts, dedication and personal strength over the course of the last two years.  I am exceptionally proud of these achievements, and the staff who have helped our students to realise their potential. We are delighted that Patchway sixth form students will now use their academic successes as a platform to progress to university and to begin brilliant career paths.  Tremendously well done, Patchway Year 13!
