Literacy and Numeracy Funding
Literacy & Numeracy Funding
What is the Literacy and Numeracy Catch-up Premium?
The Literacy and Numeracy Catch-up Premium gives schools additional funding to support year 7 students who did not achieve at least level 4 in Reading or Mathematics at the end of Key Stage 2 (KS2).
All state-funded schools, including academies, with year 7 students receive this funding. In the academic year 2015 to 2016 we received £11,500. We will receive our funding for the 2016 to 2017 academic year on 1 March 2017. How do we use our Year 7 Literacy and Numeracy Catch-up Premium. To begin with, we assess the individual needs of each of the pupils who attract the year 7 Literacy and Numeracy Catch-up Premium to decide the best way to use the funding. Please see our summary of intervention and impact in this year’s report, as well as revisions to our interventions for 2016-17.
