Patchway Community School

Year 10 Community Apprentice

On Wednesday 8th Novemeber we had a team of students taking part in the Community Apprentice programme visit the AON offices in the centre of Bristol to pitch for funding for their chosen charity Nilaari.

The programme is facilitated by a non for profit organisation called Envision who specialise in developing young people’s employability skills by empowering them to tackle real-life social problems.

Our Patchway team were incredibly successful in their pitch to AON representatives and managed to raise 95% of the funds requested. They also made and sold a range of products including personalised Christmas e cards, cakes and a decorate your desk Christmas pack. Mrs Everitt our Business & Enterprise lead who accompanied the students said:

I am so very proud of the students, it’s great to see Patchway at it’s best.
