A level results 2019

We are delighted to share this year’s excellent results achieved by our post 16 students. The overall pass rate is 100% at A level and in vocational subjects. There were some outstanding individual performances, including:

 

  • Jack Palmer achieved A English Literature, B History, B Politics, and will be studying Politics & International Relations at Aberystwyth University
  • Hannah Evans takes up a place at Cardiff University, having gained B Textiles, B Business, B English Literature
  • Megan Humphreys will be studying Fashion Design & Sportswear at Falmouth University, having achieved A* Textiles, C Product Design, Merit in Applied Sciences
  • Carter King takes up a place to study Accounting & Finance at Exeter University with his results of B Accounting, B Finance, C Mathematics
  • Bradley Allen heads off to Cardiff University with a B Sociology, C Finance and Distinction in Media

 

Several subjects performed very strongly:

  • 67% A*-B grades in English Literature
  • 67% A*-C grades in Mathematics
  • 100% distinction or merit in Sports Studies, and Media Studies

 

Head of Post 16, Ian Trevarthen, commented, “Patchway students’ superb outcomes are a reflection of their determination and resilience. I am exceptionally proud of these achievements and would like to thank our dedicated staff who worked so hard to prepare students for their examinations.  Our students have bright futures ahead of them as they progress to university and higher apprenticeships and we wish them every success.”
